Welcome to the website of Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools

Our Division operates nine Catholic separate schools in the cities of Yorkton and Melville and village of Theodore in East Central Saskatchewan.  We serve the educational needs of over 1800 students from Pre-Kindergarten to grade 12.  French Immersion programming is offered in both Yorkton and Melville. Our high school programming is provided at Sacred Heart High School in Yorkton while in Melville, high school programming is provided through a partnership agreement at the Melville Comprehensive High School.

Important News...

Kindergarten Registration for 2008-2009
Registrations are currently being accepted by all of our elementary schools for children born in 2003.  Parents are asked to register at the school in their attendance area as soon as possible so planning for the Fall term may begin now.  With the interests of children as our priority, registering early assists in determining needs at each of our schools.

French Immersion Registration
If you are interested in enrolling your daughter or son in the French Immersion program please contact Saint Michael's School (K-8) in Yorkton or Saint Henry's Jr. School (K-5) in Melville.  French Immersion students in middle years or secondary grades new to the area can register at Sacred Heart High School (9-12) in Yorkton or Saint Henry's Senior School in Melville.

Test Drive French Immersion
Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13 at St. Michael's School from 9:15 a.m. -10:45 a.m. in the Grade 1 French Classroom.  This is an excellent opportunity for parents and students who may be interersted in French Immersion.  Come and experience activities through reading, writing, listening and speaking in the French Language. French Information Night
Tuesday, May 13th @ 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael's School.  If you are curious about French Immersion and are interested in learning more about the program plan on attending.  Listen to a variety of guests talk about the program followed by a question and answer period. Pre-Kindergarten Information for 2008-2009
Pre-Kindergarten is available at St. Alphonsus and St. Mary's Schools.  Applications are now being taken for the 08-09 School year.  Families with children age 4 are invited to complete application forms for the fall program.  A selection process is in place to determine which students will qualify for this program.  Please call St. Alphonsus School 306.783.4121, St. Mary's School 306.782.2889, or Christ the Teacher Catholic School Division Office 306.783.8787 for more information.

SHHS Registration for 2008-2009 and Advanced Placement Programming
A Parent Meeting for Advanced Placement Programming will be held Wednesday, May 14th at 7:00 p.m.  As well,  Sacred Heart High School continues to accept registrations for the fall and welcomes any questions.  Please Call Mr. Holinaty, principal, for more information about the school and/or programming.
